Lolita's Fashion Police: SALES!

Lolita's Fashion Police

SALES!

Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and had a lovely day with family and friends, ate plenty and enjoyed your day! I certainly did :)!

Isn't it funny how things seem to be almost like a repetitive clock? It's always one thing after the other, it only feels like a few weeks ago I was enjoying the Scottish sun in my back garden and BOOM! It's already time to say goodbye to another year. Last week the hype was all about Christmas and people getting stressed out over presents(admit to be one of them) and now all that's going through my head is what am I going to wear for New Years?  Funny people we are.
Anyway, I finally joined the rest of the bargain snatchers trying to catch a couple of sale items myself. We all know the lady that's standing next to you waiting for you to let go of the item your looking at and as soon as you let go, it disappears hahahaha. It's like every shop in town is about to close down and this was Tuesday, I could only imagine what Sunday looked like! The shops looked their worst, all their clothes scrunched up in one another sitting in bundles, quite off putting! Still i rummaged through those bundles and though I didn't find what I was looking for, I found some great buys and went home rather happy :D

I'm in love with my gorgeous Chiltern Bag! This vintage brown and black satchel is a great accessory to have for this fall trend, yay me!

I grabbed myself these black ankle booties which are oh so comfortable! Another great vintage looking item which I can't wait to wear. I'm not in love with the laces they came with and definitely going to get rid of them! I'm thinking of accessorizing, adding some things to these so they can be a bit more me?

I love these knee high, sandy coloured boots. They are gorgeous on and I had so many ideas to what to wear them with when i first saw them!

Tights, they look purple in the wrapping but these are a beautiful burgundy colour which are great to pair up with some shorts or a dress during this weather. Also burgundy being one of my favourite colours I had to buy it!

I've got so many lipglosss's that are so strong, they change the colour of my actual lipstick! Most of them being a strong pink i can only use them sometimes. So I wanted a more champagne/beige gloss just to add some shine to my plain lips or over some lipstick. I saw this and it was the exact colour i was looking for! I went home, tried it on and i could hardly see it? It has a lot of glitter but not enough liquid and is very drying to the lips, complete fail!

I'm going to be doing more outfits of the day, including some of the things I've just bought! Hope everyone else has won themselves some great buys whilst out shopping :D!
I'm quite gutted I still haven't found my new years outfit yet, so I think I'll be  out again tomorrow to hunt through the shops, wish me luck!

Winter Trends

Winter is quickly approaching and Scotland has been covered in snow the past few days, it's a winter wornderland out here. It's beautiful to look at but not very pleasant to be walking on! Fear not all my fashionistas! This is no excuse to feel you can't be fashionable, infact this is one of my favourite seasons to dress up for!  I'm very excited to share all the fall trends with you.
Fur fur fur! I can't stress enough how much it's in this fall. I know there is some of you who are totally against it and the thought of adding fur into an outfit might seem frightening , but not to worry! No need to go overboard, even as little as a simple accessory containing fur can do the job! Theres so much to choose from! Coats, boots, gillets, bags and simple hair pieces. French designers have made sure fur is in there winter collection this year, Chanel being one of them. Make sure if you do decide to go with this trend, do NOT wear it from head to toe, what a complete disaster! You can wear just the coat with skinny jeans and a simple vest under it or that christmas dress you can't wait to put on! The key is one piece at a time! Alot of the high street shops have fur all over their windows including Topshop, River Island, and Lipsy being one of my favourites!
Kim Kardashian rocked the fur gillet very well and Stacey Soloman wore this beautiful faux fur from lipsy.

Military
The military look has been around for a while sneaking in and out, but this season it is definitely a look to look out for!  Marching jackets are everywhere! Long coats, hats and cargo pants are the simple items that can transform any outfit into a military look. Marc Jacobs, Burberry and Fendi are some of many designers who had this look in their collection this season. Things to look out for are brass buttons, strong shoulders, hareem trousers and khaki (which i've seen alot in Michael Cors collection) and camel colours! I love how the military gives a chic and polished look which can be put it together so effortlessly! An oversized neutral colour T with a pair of black leggings and a militrary inspired hat is a great flattering look to wear during the day which you can achieve quite easily as you probably have these items in your wardrobe! Many celebrities have worn the military trend recently, including Cheryl Cole in her "Fight for this Love"music video. Again, one or two military inspired items at a time!

Almost forgot! Boots are a definite thumbs up for this look, especially doc martins!

I love how Lily Donaldson pulled it off adding a little bit of indie into it and also Alicia Keys shows that you don't have to always play it safe and go with brighter colours!

The Masculine/Boyfriend Look

I'm really loving this trend! Females seem to be embracing the male look and making it the new HOT! We seem to be pulling it off vey very well. Alexandra Wang is one of many designers who had this in her collection. This trend consist of a tailored look, buttoned up shirts(blue/white), blazers, hareem trousers and brogues! Why not try a pair of neutral coloured hareem trousers with a brown belt, a white buttoned up shirt, and a pair of brogues? There you have it! Wearing this outfit will definitely make you feel confident and powerful. When putting this outfit together keep in mind the brittish male fashion and you won't go wrong! To make it more feminine you can add a belt at the waist, high wasted trousers or a leather jacket .

My favourite is the checked tweed blazers with elbow patches i've seen recently in Topshop and River island, i love love loveeee it!

ALSO what's in....
-Natural earrth colour such as brown beige and camel , seen in Ralph Laurens collection.
- Wine/Red colours seen in Givenchy, great colour for party wear!
-Lace for those who want to spice up an outfit and add some sexiness
-Cardigans with Crowl necks, rouched sleeves and boyfriend cardigans
-Femininty gives off an elegant soft look. Look out for Soft pinks, silky luxerious(Alexandra Mcqueen) dresses/blouses and the beautiful pearl accessories. I loved Stella McCartney's femininity this season!
-Bags; brown, furry, back sacs and hobo bags
-Hairstyles; messy model buns, wavey beach hair, fish tail and bohemian updos am loving!

Forever21

Ok guys bare with me ! I'm completely new to this.
So, As I was looking through my inbox this morning, I recieve my daily email filling me in on the latest fashion do's and dont's. As I scroll down, in CAPITAL letters I see "U.S GIANT FOREVER 21 HAS LAUNCHED IN THE UK!" Yes, I may a bit late on this one but Forever 21 has finally opened a large store in the Bullring Centre in Birmingham! How exciting, high street stores eat your heart out!

I've been waiting for this moment for God knows how long! About time it made an appearance in the UK. For those who don't know(shocked) Forever 21 is a fast fashion, trendy, and pocket friendly clothing store, it's the new h&m, i'm sure we'll be seeing some competition between them. I've been browsing through some photos of the store, and the merchandising is truly beautiful!

I'm rather envious of those living in Birmingham atm, as I'm from Glasgow, a trip down is certainly needed! After I saw this i quickly went onto the online shopping  site >>> http://www.forever21.com/UK/Product/Index.aspx?BR=F21
and have already found my first purchases
I'm inlove with the black faux fur ankle boots! They look so warm(painful) but warm! Definitely a must have! Also I've been seeing alot of nude colours about this season and im LOVING it, the nude peep toe heels are ideal! Every woman should own one of these, there just oh so feminine!
The dress looks like another great purchase, very adaptable to what ever season, great for a summer outing with a pair of sandals or for a cold winters day paired up with some fashion tights and the nude boots! A quick vintage look.

I hope the birmingham people have stepped in this store already, if not HURRY!!
